Bridget M. McCann joined the WSPA team in January, 2017 as Manager, Southern California Region. In this capacity, Bridget is responsible for managing and representing WSPA’s technical issues in Southern California, including air quality, water quality, refinery safety, and optical remote sensing.
Prior to joining WSPA, Bridget served as Senior Scientist at Exponent, a multi-disciplinary engineering and science consulting firm. Her work included developing and implementing training materials and plans for refineries, chemical plants, and marine terminals; providing State, Federal, and international regulatory analysis of various water quality projects; and regulatory analysis for California drought guidance.
Prior to joining Exponent, Bridget worked as a technical contractor for ExxonMobil’s Global Manufacturing Training program, helping to localize global training modules with individual site procedures, practices, and applicable regulations. She also served as a facilitation consultant for the Southern California Coastal Water Research Project.
Bridget earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies from the University of Detroit Mercy and a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Marine Emphasis from Occidental College. Bridget is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Professional Environmental Management Association, the National Association of Professional Women, and the Junior League of Long Beach.
