Jessica Spiegel

Jessica Spiegel joined the WSPA team in February 2015. In her role as Vice President, Northwest Region, Jessica is responsible for managing and leading WSPA’s state government and regulatory affairs operations in Oregon and Washington and to drive the execution of the organization’s advocacy priorities.

She previously worked as a federal permitter specializing in permitting large-scale projects including mine operations, responsible for five operations for Barrick Gold Corporation in Nevada. Jessica successfully completed NEPA permitting for the Arturo Mine Project, which was ranked as a second best ‘rookie’ gold mines (open pit) on the planet in 2016 by mining.com. She also worked on projects that permitted wind farms and pipeline projects.

Jessica earned a bachelor’s of science degree in Geology from Oregon State University and a Juris Doctorate of Law from Lewis and Clark Law School.
