Paul Adler joined the Western States Petroleum Association in July 2026 as Director of Communications and Membership Development. He is responsible for shaping and executing WSPA’s integrated communications strategy and partners with executive leadership and member companies.

Paul has been an engaged advocate in the energy, industrial and regulated sectors for over twenty years and has he worked for Contra Costa County, Phillips 66 and Valero in different roles involving internal and external communications, community relations and government affairs positions.

He holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in communications and leadership studies from the University of San Diego. Paul grew up in the Bay Area and served on a number of regional business and non-profit boards.
