Sarah Taylor serves as Director, Associate Counsel for WSPA. With a background in land use and natural resources law, Sarah provides legal counsel to WSPA staff and helps support WSPA’s advocacy priorities.
Prior to joining WSPA in 2021, Sarah worked as an associate attorney at law firms with deep environmental and natural resources experience, such as Stoel Rives and Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell. In private practice, Sarah assisted a variety of mining and oil and gas clients with complex permitting and environmental compliance matters. Sarah has broad experience navigating the regulatory landscape of state and local agencies across California, and has helped clients secure necessary land use entitlements and environmental permits.
Sarah earned her Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of California, San Diego, and her Juris Doctorate from the UCLA School of Law. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys running on the American River Parkway and spending time with her husband, Stephen,son, Grant, and maltipoo, Bryan.
